The Way To Build Better Schools
Is to Start With Better Curriculum, Better Teachers and Better Leaders

Build a Higher Quality School With:

Better Teachers

Meaning Preventing Future
Teacher Burnout

Miss M was a 15 year veteran teacher, who was ready to call it quits because everyday she got home from school, she was overwhelmed, exhausted and burnt out. And she could not see any other way of relieving the massive amount of stress.

That is until she learned how to prevent teacher burnout.

Better Curriculum

Meaning Teaching Kids
Next Gen Skills

Jaquan was like any other little kid, who had a dream about his future. But then his parents sent him to school and over the next 12 years, the school system worked to destroy his dream and taught him that everything he believed was unrealistic.

Jaquan wouldn't have kept on believing the lies the school system taught him, if he hadn't learned Next Gen Skills.

Better Leaders

Meaning Knowing the
6 Principles of Leadership

Leaf Academy's Founder, Doc Schwartz, used to be a principal and superintendent inside the school system. And when he was in charge, every expert and education official told him that leaders were born, therefore only some people come up with good ideas.

But Doc knew that wasn't true, so he dedicated 20 years of his life to finding the academic research to prove that leadership is a skill that can be taught.

Having an Open Mind Matters

We all know that "education is the key to success," but what no one tells you is that not all educations are created equal. Therefore, if you go to school for 12 years and learn all the wrong things - then you end up getting a low quality education.

And who wants that?

Therefore, the only way to create the highest quality school system in the world is to follow the three simple keys:

  • The Next Gen Skills Curriculum (Better Curriculum)
  • The Teacher Development Program (Better Teachers)
  • The Principal's Academy (Better Leaders)

Leaf Academy founder, Doc Schwartz, M.Ed., launched this online company in 2020 to help teachers, parents and principals fix their local schools because not enough people know what a high quality school looks like.

Because if we don't teach 21st century kids the right classes, then how are they supposed to become successful after graduation?

And that's the question we all need to think about. What do kids in the 21st century absolutely need to know?

When you explore this site, you will find out that almost everything the school system told is is no longer true. That's not because they were lying to you, its more because everything the K12 does has expired. Yes, that's right, the education you received is more than 100 years old, which is why its harder than ever to get a good job, get promoted, get a raise and build generational wealth.

So if you want to learn the secrets to success in the 21st century, put your name down on our mailing list, so you never feel left out again.

The Book that Teaches Leadership
Why Our School System Doesn't Teach Kids How to Be Leaders?

Most people believe that leaders are born. After all, have you ever heard of a "natural born leader" before?

The problem is this is just a myth.

  • Leadership is a skill: What most people don't realize is that leadership is a skill that can be taught. Just like learning how to read, write and do math - leadership skills require training, practice and develop.
  • How can schools teach leadership? Once you realize leadership is a skill, the next thing a kid needs to learn are the 6 principles of leadership skills.
  • What are the 6 Principles of Leadership Skills? Based on 20 years of academic research, the 6 principles of leadership outline the 6 main action steps a person must take, in order to be seen as a leader. Therefore, if you want other people to think you're a "natural born leader" you should follow these 6 principles.
  • There are Two Types of Leadership:  After you digest the 6 principles of leadership, you begin to realize there are 2 types of leadership 1) personal leadership and 2) organizational leadership.
  • Why Leadership Skills Matter?:  Without good leaders, society begins to fall apart. Therefore, if you really want to protect Democracy, our schools must start teaching the 6 principles of leadership right now, or else our country will see more division, more chaos and more bloodshed.
Have You Read This Book Yet?

If you want to know why our school system doesn't seem to work anymore or why every teenager that graduates high school looks helpless, hopeless and confused, you need to read this book.

"Disrupting Education" takes you on a journey back through school and shows you where things fell off the rails. And also how to get things back on track.

And not only that, but when you read "Disrupting Education" you will also get to learn the 6 principles of leadership skills for the first time.

The only way we can improve our schools is if we have better curriculum, better teachers and better leaders. But how can we fix all three issues, unless we first learn the 6 principles of leadership. After all, only a good leader would know what to do.

Therefore, if you want to read the one book that can change the future for your kids and our country, then you must read "Disrupting Education."

The Leaf Academy Professional Development Program

In 2009, Doc launched the Teacher Development Program. At the time, the small group of academic elite who run our schools laughed at him. According to them, teachers don't need individualized and personalized teacher training. The "one size fits all" approach to PD was in their words, "good enough for teachers."

But is "good enough" what we want to do or do we want to treat teachers with more respect?

  • One Size Does Not Fit All:  There was a time when "one size fits all" professional development worked. But that time is not now. That time is over. What teachers need now is individualized and personalized PD that fits their individual needs. Because teachers are different from one another. Every teacher is unique. Therefore, don't teachers deserve a PD program that shows them how to be the best teacher they can be?
  • Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Most people do not know the "Pareto Principle." That's not their fault. After all, the professors in college don't think teaching the "Pareto Principle" is important. Except, when you don't understand this principle, you will be doomed to repeat it. The "Pareto Principle" says that 80% of all the work will always be done by only 20% of the workforce. In other words, 20% of teachers in every school building are doing 80% of all the work that needs to be done. That's why your best teachers are being burnt out. Meanwhile 80% of teachers are slacking off. This isn't an opinion, this is provable math. So that's the question, how do you get 80% of teachers to step up more to the plate?
  • 21st Century Leadership: Schools need leaders. Teachers need leaders. And students need leaders. Our current school system is run by a small group of academic elites, who think everyone that doesn't have a doctorate hanging on their wall is stupid. But are you really stupid? Leadership starts from the top. That means, when the people at the top think everyone underneath them is stupid, what do you think is going to happen?  Therefore, the solution is to build a coalition of honest and hard working educators, who can begin to apply more pressure at the small group of academic elites who run everything.

What Else Doc Thinks You Should Know:
  • You should know the reason teachers get burnt out now more than ever is because the teachers in those schools are using old curriculum and old research to try and meet the needs of 21st century learners - and the problem is there's too big a gap between what the teacher wants to happen and what the students understand.
  • You should know that the reason over 1 million teachers have quit the teaching profession over the last decade is not because  of teacher pay, but a lack of respect and professionalism inside the K12 system. Not lack of professionalism on the part of teachers, but on the part of the K12 system itself.
  • You should know the reason student test scores have declined since 1960 is because the expiration date on the old curriculum is well past its prime. If you want to boost student achievement, then you must adopt a 21st century curriculum, otherwise you're creating the problem on purpose.
  • You should know the reason millions of high school graduates feel lost and confused about their future is not because of their age. Teenagers do not have a monopoly on confusion. So here's the truth. Because the K12 system does not teach a 21st century curriculum, high school graduates are entering into the world without any foundation of knowledge. Therefore, its understandable why they are asking this question: "What do I do now?"
  • You should know that you can pursue American Dream, if you learn the research-based 21st century skills.
  • You should know that Doc Schwartz is the only educator to run three successful pilot programs inside the K12 system that not only work, but provie beyond a shadow of a doubt how to run a 21st century K12 district.
  • You should know that there is a way to create a path for many more Americans to become millionaires than at any time in American History.
  • And that's just the tip of the iceberg...
